We sell commodities that are used as raw materials or inputs to manufacture finished goods known as 'products' or services sold to consumers.

These raw items can also be traded on an exchange (interchangeable) with other suppliers / producers' commodities of the same type, with consideration on 'basis grade' (specified minimum standards). 

There are two (2) categories of commodities -- soft and hard commodities.

Soft commodities are normally known as agricultural or grown items, there is the growth cycle that ends in harvesting (planted and nurtured to maturity) prior to next phase of further processing to make the finished goods. These include --

• coffee
• cocoa 
• orange juice
• sugar 
• canola 
• corn lumber
• wheat
• lean hogs
• feeder cattle

Hard commodities, on the other hand, are those waiting in the earth (areas with geological deposits) for extraction, like mined metals which include

• copper
• gold 
• silver

and energy extraction like 

• crude oil
• natural gas
• refined products from the above
